Irrational City

2011 – 7’16 – color – sound As a painter, the reference with which he plays is « l’angelus » by Millet, a rural painting of the XIXth century, the copy of which you could find in every French house. Here you can see his personal paintings on big canvases.

His other references are BURLESQUE and silent movies, particularly the character Charlot. The artist likes to play with the different meanings of elements, to overflow and break the balance in time and space, which allows him to question the value of things. He humorously blurs the barriers between reality and representation.
